Radon Mitigation

If you’ve had a radon test performed on your home and received a result above the EPA recommended limit of 4 pCi/L, you may want to consider having a radon mitigation system installed in your home. This typically involves creating sub-slab negative pressure by drilling a hole through the floor of your basement and installing a fan to draw the radon out of your house.

Howell Radon Mitigation is experienced at installing high performing radon mitigation systems in all types of homes, with typical post-system installation radon levels testing well below the EPA limit. In addition to effectiveness, we care about the aesthetics of the installation, and thus utilize high-quality compact, quiet fans. For an estimate, contact James at 607-379-0200.

About Radon

Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the United States and the first leading cause of lung cancer in non-smokers. Much of New York State, particularly the areas we service, have been rated red “Zone 1”, which indicates the highest potential of a radon screening level greater than 4 pCi/L (picocuries per liter).
