Howell on Homes Inspection LLC is run by James Howell, a NYS licensed home inspector.  He has over 35 years of practical experience in both building new homes as well as renovating and repairing older homes.  His knowledge and experience spans every stage of home building from pouring footers to shingling roofs and everything in-between.  This has prepared him to interpret clues present in a home and determine what is cosmetic and what may be a more serious concern.

Personally, James lives just outside Ithaca in Newfield, New York with his wife, children, and three dogs in a green-construction home he built, bordering the Ithaca College natural preserve.  He is very committed to sustainable living and is always looking for ways to continue to reduce his family's greenhouse gas emissions.  James has coached several youth athletic teams and is currently a competitive powerlifter, holding several world records.
